Creators of the "Original Nantucket Quarterboard”
We strive to preserve history and the traditional art form of hand carving in wood.
In today's world of automation and the use of CNC machines, our quarterboards are unique and one of a kind that reflect the time honored art of hand carving and finishing in wood. We help convert your ideas into reality… as we like to say "No two boards are alike.”
Our carving shop also provides Residential & Commercial Signs, Restoration & Refinishing,
as well as Gold Leafing.
Creating early Americana, which includes: Nautical Folk Art, Ship Models, Vintage Signs, Carved Eagles, and Whales, Lighthouse themed artwork, and much more. All created by folk artist Jean Petty and her brother, woodcarver, model shipwright and restorer, Dave Petty

Specializing in custom wood-carved quarterboards, house numbers, and commercial signs. We are continuing to serve the Cape and Islands with quality work as we have for the last 20 years.
Providing unequaled service and satisfaction our customers have come to know and rely on. We work first hand with our clients to transform their ideas into reality.
Because of our passion for this art form, we do not use a cnc machine. This allows us the ability to create a one of a kind piece of art that reflects our customers vision, while preserving the tradition of wood carved quarter boards.
Custom designed quarterboard toppers and ends, as well as a business logo, will add a personalized touch to your project
These traditional handcrafted quarterboards are carved into Native Eastern White Pine and finished with 3 coats of oil base enamel in a color of your choosing to set each one apart with its own unique character. Once used to identify early sailing ships, the quarterboard is now a distinctive decor which adorns many homes in New England.
Each quarterboard is custom designed to the client's specifications.
